Because if the latest pecking order is supposed to represent which teams deserve to be taken seriously, Packers fans aren’t buying it.

Not even close.

The reaction from Titletown has been loud, emotional and completely understandable. Green Bay continues to find ways to remain relevant in a league that seems determined to focus its attention on bigger markets, bigger personalities and bigger headlines. Yet somehow, the Packers keep finding themselves treated like an afterthought.

Jordan Love and Matt LaFleur don’t need to win the ranking battle in September.

They need to win football games.

And if Green Bay starts doing exactly that, those same analysts who pushed the Packers down the pecking order may suddenly find themselves explaining why they got it wrong.
